CNC Turning
CNC Turning is a precision machining process where a cutting tool moves along a rotating workpiece to remove material and create symmetrical shapes, such as cylinders, cones, and threads. This process is ideal for producing components with round or tubular profiles, such as shafts, bushings, and other cylindrical parts.
Using computer-controlled lathes, CNC turning allows for high levels of accuracy and consistency, ensuring tight tolerances and smooth surface finishes. It is suitable for working with a wide range of materials, including metals, plastics, and composites, and is widely used in industries such as aerospace, automotive, and medical devices for both prototypes and large-scale production runs.
Wanda's CNC Turning Capabilities
Turning capabilities include contour, form, taper, and straight turning as well as single point threading and broaching. Live tooling facilitates efficient machining of complex patterns and shapes. Components may be machined from steel, stainless steel, aluminum, brass, and bronze in a range of alloys including difficult to machine exotic alloys such as Invar and Inconel. CNC lathes have the capacity to turn parts up to 17.71¡± in diameter and 31.49¡å long.
Kintec¡¯s shop services showcase impressive machining capabilities. Generally, here are a few machine size guidelines. However, if you receive a quote that goes beyond these guidelines and requires an RFQ, please remember to request a quote review for our assessment.

High Precision
It can achieve extremely high levels of precision and tight tolerances, often within micrometers. This precision is essential for industries that require accurate and consistent parts, such as aerospace, medical, and electronics.
Multi-Axis Machining
Many CNC turning machines offer multi-axis capabilities, allowing for simultaneous machining on different sides of the part. This enables the creation of complex features without the need for multiple setups.
Faster Production
CNC turning's automation, optimization, precision, and multitasking capabilities, contribute to faster production rates. This speed advantage is particularly valuable for large production runs.
Consistency & Repeatability
Once a CNC program is developed and tested, the machining process can be repeated identically for each part. This ensures consistent quality across a production run and minimizes variability.
Benefits of CNC Turning
CNC turning offers several advantages over conventional manual turning processes. These advantages make CNC turning a preferred choice for precision machining and high-volume production in various industries

CNC Milling
CNC milling is a precision machining process that involves using computer-controlled rotating cutting tools to remove material from a workpiece. This method is ideal for producing complex geometries, detailed surfaces, and intricate prismatic shapes. Multi-axis CNC milling machines offer versatility and accuracy, allowing for the creation of both flat and curved surfaces without the need for specialized tooling. This adaptability makes CNC milling suitable for a wide variety of industries and applications, ensuring efficient production of high-quality components.
EDM Services
Electrical Discharge Machining (EDM) is a highly precise manufacturing process used to shape hard metals and materials that are difficult to machine with conventional methods. It works by generating controlled electrical sparks between an electrode and the workpiece, which erodes the material to form the desired shape. EDM is particularly useful for creating intricate details, fine features, and tight tolerances in components that require high precision.
Surface Finishing
There are two main types of EDM: wire EDM, which uses a thin wire as the electrode to cut intricate shapes, and die-sinking EDM, where the electrode takes the shape of the cavity to be machined. EDM is commonly used in industries like aerospace, automotive, and mold-making, where complex geometries and hard materials are essential.
